Jensen's Favorite Things!

Jensen's 6 months now so I though I would do a blog of his favorite things (and mine). It's kind of like Oprah's favorite things, just as exciting (for me, that is) but no one wins any cars or cool prizes.
Here's him on his saucer that he's borrowing from his cousin Kira. He loves to play in it and it keeps him occupied long enough for me to get things done.

Here he is in his jumping thing, also Kira's (thank you Erin). He gets going on this and it looks like he's doing the River Dance.
He also loves his cousin Kira (when she's not poking his eyes out). He just ligths up when he sees her. It's the cutest thing. She just turned 1. How cute is she!

And here's Jensen and his friend Oliver. Jensen loves his little jungle gym and Oliver thought he would join him. There's always room for more!

Some of my favorite things about Jensen are:
1. When he first wakes up in the morning and sees me or Reed for the first time and just lights up.
2. How he just laughs for no reason.
3. How he lights up when his daddy comes home.
4. How he loves to talk. Especially the loud squeals and then looks around to see where it's coming from.
5. How he loves his bath time. Splashing around and most of all just being naked (he is such a boy!)
6. The face he makes when you first put food in his mouth, likes it's the most disgusting thing you could possibly imagine. But then manages to finish the whole thing.
7. when he looks at a bottle, it's like he's been deprived of food for days. And then he just grabs the bottle in hunger and desperation.
8. When he grabs his hands together like he's so excited he can't stand it.
9. When he wrinkles his nose when he smiles.
10. How he has a normal sized head. For most of you this wouldn't be a concern, but I married an Edwards and this is very much a concern for me. However, I have beautiful nieces that have done just fine with the Edwards' head.
Anyway, I just wanted to share some of our favorite things and Reed really wanted to get rid of the "bra blog" from being the first thing he sees when he opens the blog.

A New Revolution in Jogging!

That is not me, by the way!

Well ladies, I have found it! A bra that allows you to jog without the bounce. You other well endowed ladies know what I'm talking about. I know you've seen them, the ladies that run and it looks like they're going to knock someone out with all the bouncing going on in front of them. Well, I was one of them. I would have to wear two sports bras for the much needed support. I have searched my entire life for such a phenomena of a sports bra that actually supports. It seems impossible, I know, but this enell bra has made me a believer.

I love to run, but I have also been blessed with being top heavy (two bad combos). Just recently I was reading my friend Alicia's blog and she said that there was this new bra for well endowed joggers such as herself. I couldn't believe it. I went right out and got one. I was standing there in the dressing room jumping up and down, and wouldn't you know it, there was no "bounceage". The great thing about it is that it doesn't completly flatten you, just gives great support. Reed was making fun of me, because it almost looks like armor. But who freaking cares, as long as there's no bouncing.

I finally put it to the test today, and I have to say that it was fantastic. So for those of you that have been blessed as I have and also love to run, here you are. You can find it on

You'll love it, I promise!

Rolling over!

Jensen just started rolling over a week or two ago. I sound a little vague, because no one really witnessed it until last night. Grandma and Grandpa were babysitting and they saw him do it. After that, he was on a roll (no pun intended). Actually the very first time was when he was put in his crib for a nap. About 5 minutes later there was this blood curdling scream, so Reed ran into his room. And there he was, on his stomach. Apparently it freaked him about pretty good.
So now that we've actually seen him do it, I thought I'd share with all of you.

Snoop Dog - a Mormon!

So I just got this email saying that Snoop Dog, or Calvin is the newest member of the LDS faith. How crazy is that! Well it just goes to show that the church is for everyone. My favorite quote in the article is when he's talking about FHE
"I was hooked from the start,” Snoop Dogg said. “We talked about the purpose of life, played Mousetrap, and ate brownies. The kids thought it was off the hook, for real.”
Here's the article from CNN if you want to read it.

I got tagged!

Ok, enough harrassment from everyone. I'm finally putting on a new post.

1. What is his name? Reed Cameron Edwards
2. How long have you been married? 4 years in December, so far we've been able to take a trip for every one of our anniversaries, I hope that keeps up now that we have a baby
3. How long did you date for? Well we got set up on a date in May of 2000, and we didn't go out again till May of 2004, we were engaged in Oct 2004 and married Dec 2004
4. Who eats more sweets? Reed loves his candy (cinnamon bears, snickers, runts) you name it, if it's got sugar he'll eat it. I do love my ice cream, though. So it's a toss up.
5. Who said "I love you" first? Reed and Stan have a lot more in common than I thought. I was the first one to say I love you and he didn't say it back. I thought that was a little weird. But when he said it a few days later, it was really sweet. He said that he didn't want to just say it as a response to what I said. I guess it's cute, but at the time it wasn't really. He just left me hanging. But who could not love a stud that can do a 360 on his skis!
6. Who is taller? Definitely Reed, that was always a prerequisite.
7. Who can sing better? I like to sing but I wouldn't say I'm better. Reed loves to sing in the car. Sometimes he'll just make up his own lyrics or he'll do it to his crazy Russian accent. It definitely keeps things interesting.
8. Who is smarter? I think we're both smart just at different things. Reed's definitely got the math part down, then again I do like to rubb it in that I took AP calculus. Reed's got a great memory for people, places and events. He's also got me on english grammar. He teases me every once in a while when I say things wrong, but I have a good excuse, english is my second language.
9. Who does the laundry? We both do. Whoever is home when the basket gets full does it.
10. Who pays the bills? I do. I'm kind of a control freak in that sense. I like to know what's happening with the money. And it also makes me more frugal.
11. Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? If you're laying on the bed, I sleep in the right. I am very possessive about my side of the bed!
12. Who makes dinner? Are you kidding me! Who has time to make dinner!
13. Who drives? Reed, always! At first I thought it was just him trying to be a gentleman, but then when I drove the other day he had a very worried look on his face. So maybe it's just for his peace of mind.
14. Who is more stubborn? Definitely ME! But Reed does have his moments.
15. Who kissed who first? Reed kissed me on our 2nd date. We were on his porch just talking and he leaned in and did it. I have to admit, it wasn't much of a surprise. I wanted him to kiss me. He's a great kisser!

16. Who asked who out first? Our 2nd first date, our friend Scott and Reed made up this elaborate story so that it didn't sound like Reed was interested but just taking me out as a friend. Oh, the games that we play.
17. Who proposed? Reed. It was very romantic. He did it on top the the U of U stadium. I had no clue. He's great at surprising me.
18. Who wears the pants? I'm sure will tell you that I do, but I like to think that we each have a role and that's why we work so well.

I tag any and all of you reading this. I think they are fun to read, so get blogging! (and all the random pics of Jensen are for all of you bugging me to update my pics, I hope that's good for now)

Go Utes!

Reed and I were able to take Jensen to his first Utah game. They played TCU and killed them. It was a good game for the Utes and for Jensen. He loved it! He couldn't take his eyes off the court. He is a lot more like Reed every day (which is a good thing).
